Care for your beautiful new omni | candle.
Caring for your candle ensures it looks and smells its best, so that it lasts as long as possible.
The first time you burn your candle, allow the wax to melt all the way across the width of the jar. This might take an hour or so - it's important as it ensures a long candle life and continuous even burning. (Wax has a ‘memory’ of its first melt and will continue to melt in this way afterwards.)
As soy wax is a natural material, it can sometimes show a few cosmetic differences (to the surface of the candle, before/after burning) vs other types of wax such as paraffin. Soy wax can be a little sensitive to room temperature changes, but these do not affect the scent or life of the candle at all.
Try to keep your candle out of sunlight for prolonged periods of time - the wax may discolour,. Remember to always use the lid when not in use (Do not screw the lid after burning a candle, please let it cool before screwing the lid back on)
Try to keep the wax clear of any debris such as burnt wick pieces. After extinguishing the candle and allowing the wax to harden, trim the wick to approx 5mm before lighting again. This will stop the flame burning too high and too hot and causing soot to build up on the glass and in the wax.
Always remember your candle always needs a plus one - do not ever leave a lit candle unattended.
Burning all the way to the end of the wick can sometimes cause the candle jar glass to break, while rare this can sometimes occur, so when only a small amount wax is left at the bottom of the container, it’s time to re-use the beautiful amber jar for something else.
Always remember your omni | candle is plastic-free and environmentally conscious.
